Book hereThe first few months of your puppy's life are an exciting time, but they can also feel overwhelming! Our Puppy Newcomers classes are designed to guide you through those early weeks, helping you build confidence while teaching your puppy the essential life skills they'll need as they grow.
Using kind, reward-based training, we'll help you create a strong bond with your puppy while covering all the foundations for a happy, well-mannered companion.

Classes are kept small to ensure every puppy and owner receives plenty of individual support, with time to ask questions and work through any challenges you may be facing.
Our aim isn't just to teach cues—it's to help you understand your puppy, build a fantastic relationship together, and give you the confidence to navigate puppyhood with a smile.
Whether you're a first-time puppy owner or welcoming another four-legged family member, Puppy Newcomers is the perfect place to begin your training journey.
Suitable for: Puppies from first vaccinations up to approximately 6 months of age.
Course Length: 6 weekly sessions.

Being a fully qualified and accredited dog trainer with the Institute of Modern Dog Training, The Dog Trainer School and the UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter we use force-free and positive reinforcement methods to create a fun learning environment for you and your dog. Whether you need help training a specific cue in a 1-2-1 private session or you would like to train in a small group class, Tails Trails can help you and your dog reach your training goals.
Our training sessions (1-2-1 and group) are held in our outdoor training paddock in Saffron Walden, further location details will be sent across at the time of booking. However, there is the option of having our trainer come to your home if you require a home visit, perhaps you'd like to get started early with a new puppy before they are fully vaccinated or maybe a nervous dog that needs that comfort of their own home, we're here to help and cater for your needs.
